Ok, I have to make a confession. I am a 53 year old Sunday school teacher who thought she was downloading a Christian suspense book. Well, I was a little surprised when I started reading some of the language and mildly crude innuendos. With that said, the suspense and the storyline along with the likeable characters kept me turning the pages. Plus, I read the author is a fellow Tennessean. (Go Vols) I knew I had to finish this tale. Even though I wish the author had cleaner language and all I couldn't take off any stars, seeing as it was my fault that I wasn't this author target audience. So, if you like suspense that is a bit violent and don't mind the curse words, then I think you will like this book. Also, I love romantic suspense in the Christian genre so I think the romance between hero and heroine kept me reading as well. So, Mr. Tetro, if you ever write a book like this one and leave out some cussing, ill be the first to buy your book I wish you much success and Go Big Orange.Product details

Not what you would call a "gripping" tale. It was kind of hard to get it going an stay interested. It was a bit difficult to keep track of who was who and what was going on.
This action packed novel by R.B. Tetro has a softer side. According to his bio, this new author has life experiences in the extreme, and his work reflects it. However, he doesn't lose sight of his characters and their relationships. My only criticism is that the proof reader left some glaring grammatical errors. I look forward to his next book.
This a a good read with a great and fluid storyline and well developed characters incorporating suspense, action, loyalty and a little romance. Loved the bond that Jake has for Laura and her family and the twists and turns the author has spun.
This is my first read by this new author and enjoyed reading Misty Hill Reckoning and looking forward to reading more by this author
This was a very good book , the story line flowed from page to page. The main characters in the story were possibly like your neighbors in your small town. The ending had several surprises to it not what I expected. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a little mystery with some gunfire.. very good book. I stayed up until four in the morning reading it. Very hard book to put down!!!
Giving this book 3 stars might be a stretch. Although the plot has great potential, I found the delivery lacking. The writing came off as rather juvenile and unpolished. There were more typos, formatting, and grammar errors than should have been acceptable for any publishing firm. The religious aspect for this type of story was a definite put off. When I'm reading about bad guys, killers, and drug dealers, I don't need the preaching. The characters were under-developed and seemed lacking in other ways that I can't put my finger on. I couldn't relate to any of them, and that just isn't right. No author should leave his readers disconnected.
Misty Hill Reckoning is a novel that has it all; suspense, romance, plot twists, action - you name it, this novel has it. Mr. Tetro has interwoven well-developed characters with an incredible plotline that keeps you turning the pages, leading you to a surprising end. I'm looking forward to RB Tetro's future offerings, and if they are as phenomenal as this one, he will surely make his mark in the literary world.
I have mixed feelings about this book.
It is a good story hampered by writing that seems geared toward early teen readers instead of adults. And it’s not quite sure whether it wants to be a mystery, thriller, or romance.
The characters have strong Christian faith but the author doesn’t beat the reader over the head with it. He also throws in a ‘supernatural’ element – something I could never buy into – in one scene.
The book also has biker gangs, corrupt cops, drug kingpins, loads of action, lots of gunplay, and copious bloodshed.
There are several ‘jumps’ in the story line and breaks in continuity and an average number of production errors.
An okay book – nothing spectacular.
